Europe’s soccer is sick. The problem has no connection to lack talented footballer, or lazy, but another disease which is primarily economic, mainly concerning the huge expenses of Europe’s leading soccer teams. Despite the great audience that comes to  soccer games, especially
with respect to groups playing in the Champions League but not limited to,  but  Europe’s top soccer  leagues like Spain, England,
France, Portugal, Greece and so on.

As the popularity of soccer is at its peak, so does spending of the same leading soccer teams spend on players, facilities and so on.  The teams Costs exceed from all income sources possible.

Last year Portsmouth football club (i.e. soccer club) tried to emulate the big clubs, failed and enter receivership, bankruptcy when in sight of the group. Portsmouth’s obligations were nothing compared to the obligations of the largest groups, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal, whose debts amount to hundreds of millions of pounds. But the top teams must is none other than Real Madrid who can be
compared to the economic situation of Spain. Even if RM income were the largest, yet its debts and expenditure are above and beyond any anticipated income. Actually Real Madrid has no possibility to reach a balanced budget in its own right (as opposed to donations). So are Chelsea, Manchester City and other Premiership leaders rely on their owner’s support which can be described as a bottomless pit. In reality, the small groups like Portsmouth has  no real chance.

Is there a solution for this situation? It seems that the way to economic rehabilitation of the leading groups in Europe have to come in form of a tight budgetary regime to oversee administration of administration such as the NBA commissioner in its head. When players switch will be subject to control like the annual draft  in American sports format, where each group will have a budgetary ceiling for stars, etc. draft will begin in each country, during  this draft all the players will be introduced to the  team by the  commissioner  . Free players will be able to negotiate
independently. After the country’s draft will start the Champions league one in which all groups who participate in the Champions who wish to sell players in the same will put them in the commissioner list and the first choice will go to the new or 4^th grade teams.

It seems to me that sooner or later the existing model will come to an end in Europe, whether as a result of bankruptcy or unwillingness of funders to continue the funding of groups that swallows money like a bottomless pit.

אלא שככל שהפופולריות של הכדורגל נמצאת בשיאה, כך גם ההוצאות אותן מוציאות קבוצות הכדורגל על כדורגלנים , מתקנים וכיו”ב. הוצאות העולות בהרבה על הכנסותיהן מכל המקורות האפשריים.

קבוצת פורטסמות הקטנה שניסתה לחקות את המועדונים הגדולים, כשלה וניכנסה לכינוס נכסים , כאשר באופק פשיטת רגל של הקבוצה. חובותיה של פורטסמות הן
כאין וכאפס לעומת חובותיהן של הקבוצות הגדולות , צ’לסי, מנצ’סטר יונייטד , ליברפול וארסנל , אשר חובותיהן מסתכמים במאות  מליוני שטרלינג. אך בראש הקבוצות החייבות נמצאת לא אחרת מאשר ריאל מדריד אשר ניתן להמשילה למצב הכלכלי של ספרד. גם אם הכנסותיה היו הגדולות ביותר, עדיין חובותיה והוצאותיה הן מעל ומעבר לכל הכנסה חזוייה. למעשה אין לריאל מדריד כל אפשרות להגיע לאיזון תקציבי בזכות עצמה (להבדיל מתרומות). כך גם צ’לסי, מנצ’סטר סיטי ושאר מובילות הפרמייר ליג נסמכות על תמיכת בעליהן המשקיעים בהן כספים באופן
אותו ניתן לתאר כבור ללא תחתית. במציאות זו אין לקבוצות הקטנות סיכוי של ממש.

האם יש פתרון למצב זה? נראה כי הדרך לשיקומן הכלכלי של הקבוצות המובילות באירופה חייב לבוא בצורה של משטר תקציבי הדוק עליו תפקח מינהלת על דוגמת
מינהלת ה-NBA והקומישינר העומד בראשה, כאשר השליטה בשוק השחקנים תעבור לדראפט שנתי במתכונת הספורט האמריקאי , כאשר לכל קבוצה תהא תקרה תקציבית עבור כוכבים וכו’ הדראפט יחל בכל מדינה ומדינה, כאשר לדראפט זה יוכנסו כל השחקנים המשחקים בקבוצות ומבקשים לעבור קבוצה או שקבוצתן מבקשת למכור אותן והם נמצאים עדיין תחת חוזה. השחקנים החופשיים יוכלו לנהל מו”מ עצמאי. אחרי הדראפט בתוך כל מדינה יחל דראפט של הצ’מפיונס בו ישתתפו כל קבוצות הצ’מפיונס שיבקשו למכור שחקנים באותה מתכונת וכו’ .

נראה לי כי במוקדם או מאוחר המודל הקיים באירופה יגיע לקיצו בין אם כפועל יוצא של פשיטת רגל או חוסר רצון של הממנים להמשיך את המימון של קבוצות הבולעות כספים כמו בור ללא תחתית.
