Stanley Fisher said today , that it is enough that 0.5% of borrowers will enter a state of insolvency - and the banks will start to lose money. In 1.2 million families are paying a mortgage, 0.5% = 6000 families
By the end of 2010 (when interest rates were close to 2%) 40% increase in mortgage assistance applicants
3200 already reported that they are being close to insolvency
You want to talk numbers? Bring it on

1.I do believe that you did not spend enough time to understand the data that was supplied in this study.Just read the article once more.
2.THERE IS NO HOUSE SHORTAGE IN ISRAEL,according to Israeli bureau of statistics 140.000 hoses are just locked with no residence leaving in them.13000 houses in construction phase
3.There is no land shortage in Mirkaz area, construction companies using land for speculation and holding up constructions for 17000 apartments just to regulate prices.
http://www.calcalist.co.il/real_estate/articles/0,7340,L-3515863,00.html
4.Low interest rates did the same trick Israel as in the rest of the world.
5.So when OECD warns that there is a bobble in Israel
6.IMF warns that there is a bobble in Israel
7.Global property guide warns
8.New York Observer wars
7.Bank of Israel and its leader in panic (did you read the Israeli press today? ) saying that we are about to become Ireland
I tend to believe them

Could you care to explain the similarities between Israel and the US further please?
I don't see it, As far as the media and one can study from the Israeli statistics bureau (and the data you provided which is partially from the same source) it seems like the prices go up in Israel from a rather natural cause - less supply (lack of buildings) and while it may keep crawling up, it doesn't mean that Israeli banks would allow mortages without cover, and infact I just recentley read that they are going to only allow mortages with a 40% downpayment. So while having a bubble might be theoretically possible, it's not there as we speak - prices just naturally go up - (they probably need to unfreeze lands in center Israel to solve this) and even if you think it is, I still didn't catch the similarties, do explain. I still favor Mr Gabriel's position on this matter.

Israel is experiencing tremendous Housing bouble
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=iw&tl=en&u=
Anyone who claims Israel's real estate bubble is not similar to the one that exploded in the U.S. absolutely right analysis of the reasons but refuses to look into the basis and the results.
